birthday party
Yesterday I went to W's birthday party, which I really enjoyed. She uploaded yesterday's pictures on her photoalbum, so everyone can see how fun it was hehe.

At the party yesterday, one of W's friends showed me her newly bought make up from the Japanese brand Jill Stuart. I fell in love with it immediately! The packaging looked SO awesome. My sister and I are still considering Japanese lessons, since self discipline is a very hard thing to keep up with. (I already have the book though hehe) But right now I wish I already have had them, because I am visiting their official site right now and I can't exactly read it... oh well! At least there are pictures, and hooray for Babelfish.

art is resistance
I went to the Lowlands festival last weekend and it was great. Friday it was raining and stuff, but saturday and sunday was pretty nice. I actually thought it was pretty warm sunday, wearing a sleeveless shirt in the sun, lying on a pile of old tyres in the grass.

I saw the Editors, Eagles of Death metal, The Killers, After Forever, Turbonegro, Css, Interpol, Lacuna Coil, Nine Inch Nails, and Mala Vita. Not an awful lot of bands, but oh well. The main reason I went was for Nine Inch Nails off course hehe. The best show of Lowlands this year. Next to CSS, I also loved their performance. Full of energy and the just rocked. Loved it.

When we arrived on friday, it was raining heavily. So I was pretty happy we only had to check in in the hotel, instead of setting up a tent! Hehe. I hate camping. I never want to camp again, can't believe I did that for years when I go to a festival. Rain, mud, hot, cold, always in that horrible tent. Ugh. Never.

Next to the expensive and unhealthy food we bought, I also bought myself a way too expensive NIN girlie with "Art is resistance" on it, and a cute black vest with neon coloured stars on it.

So right now I'm like 300 euros lighter for yet another festival and NIN experience. It was fun.

almost time to see nine inch nails again this weekend!
Yep the normal daily life is starting again soon after holidays. Yesterday I sat next to a man with some kind of smelly goat's leather jacket, in the crowded train. I really didn't know which way to breathe; the goat's leather or the smelly armpits from the man in front of me, who was leaning with one arm against the wall behind me. Giving his armpits a little more air, and my lungs a little less.

This weekend it's finally time for A Campingflight to Lowlands Paradise! Or better - A Hotelflight to Lowlands Paradise this year, as I am staying in a hotel this year. Hehe. Screw camping, I hate tents. At least now I don't have to wait in line for the shower in the morning, and I can get my pants on in a decent way.

Anche Libero va Bene
I went to see Anche Libero va Bene the day before yesterday. We were at maybe 40% of the movie, and suddenly the fire alarm was making noise! It was false alarm but the morons couldn't turn it off so I couldn't finish the whole movie.

But I'm going to give the movie another try when I have some time again. I want to know how the story ends.

room 666
They say you're all relaxed and stuff, after a holiday. Well. That is not true. It was a nice vacation in Spain but I'm tired and I now have lots more to do at home, such as a lot more laundry than usual, because of my holiday off course.

Barcelona was fun. For some reason we stayed in room 666. I think it's funny they have room 666, considering the fact that they don't have rooms with 13 in it, but oh well. We did a lot of things, such as visiting the Sagrada Familia, an aquarium, a lot of shopping, the Bus Turistic (yeah I really felt like a tourist then lol), Montjuic Teleferic, the Castell, FC Barcelona, and the beach.

A lot of people in Spain don't speak English very well by the way. I thought that was pretty annoying sometimes. You ask them a question in English, and they answer in Spanish, like you'd understand them. Maybe I should learn more languages.

After a week of Barcelona, it was time to go to Valencia. We went first class in a train, where we got a fish-meal which my b/f off course didn't like so I ate two fish-meals lol. In Valencia it was warmer than in Barcelona, it was way too hot sometimes. Almost kind of like a few years ago when I visited Indonesia. In Valencia we visited an aquarium again, but this time it was a bigger one. Oceanografic. My dad bought a t-shirt there. One day he was wearing that t-shirt and we were somewhere in a store or something. Not even in Oceanografic, no it was somewhere else. But a lady thought that my dad worked there because of his Oceanografic shirt. I must admit, if you wear that shirt it looks like your an employee there lol but oh well my dad liked the shirt so yeah. We also went sailing, that was nice because of the wind on that hot day.

In Valencia I had a nice discovery: I discovered that they still sold Apple Pie in the McDonald's! We used to have that delicious pie with the hot filling in The Netherlands too, but for some reason they discontinued it here or something like that. So I ate a lot of that there too. Really bad. Lol.

And now I'm back at work again. Back to our cold little country. Time flies.
