darkness and hope
Ok. I have finally done something that I wanted to do for a long time. But every time I postponed it because I had to do my graduation project, or I had to work, or I was just (well let's just say it!) ... lazy. Anyway. I figured when I have to work for fourty hours a week, starting this September, I would NEVER take the time to change my lay out, so I just did it now. Although I am not really satisfied about how it turned out, it's still better than that overdose of pink lay out I had up for ages... so yeah. A little rest for the eyes in this darkness lol. I hope I will have time to get up my lazy ass and design something new soon, although I doubt that is going to happen in the near future but oh well, it's all readable and that's the most important thing about a weblog. Right? (just leave me in this imagination..)

a stroke of luck
Wow this has been a great month for me. First, I won a whiskey pack from Kink FM (which I haven't received yet by the way) and now they want to sent me to some film premiere, from Metal: A Headbanger's Journey! And it's this saturday, so on this short notice I can't go. :( I've sent them an e-mail with my apologies and maybe they can make some one else happy. Oh well.
It's so strange. When I desperately want to win something, I always (ALWAYSSSSSS) lose, and when I just send e-mails around for fun, they always let me win. I don't get it.

Back from Lowlands
And we're back! Back in the world of luxury, where you don't have to eat junk food as a meal and where you can actually sit when taking a leak! Lowlands is fun but I'm glad I'm home. I'm tired.
Seen: Wolfmother, HIM, Gorefest, Placebo, Snow Patrol, Boom Chicago, Ministry, Epica, The Raconteurs, Hawthorne Heights, Op Sterk Water, Panic! At the disco, Lostprophets, Danko Jones, Yeahyeahyeahs, Belle & Sebastian, Opeth, Infadels, Pennywise.
Wish I had seen: Razorlight, the Veils, A Night of Comedy, A Balladeer, The Kooks, Morningwood, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Johan.
It was fun. Had a rainy Sunday (understatement) and lots of mud off course, as always on Lowlands. Well I'm tired right now and I have to make some salad for tonight's dinner so I'm leaving right now! Hooray for vegetables and dry clothes.

ready for it
I just got out of the shower. I cut my nails. Waxed my legs. I'm ready to get dirty for three days. A campingflight to Lowlands Paradise! I really hate camping and sleeping in a tent, but I am excited.
I am going to pack my bags!

alone
Today is my last day and then finally I can celebrate my summer holiday which is just a lousy few rainy days starting with a muddy festival and my period. Hooray. I was locked in the office all the time with tropical temperatures outside, and when it's my time to have a summer break it's fucking raining outside and it's COLD. Is this summer? My timing is just great.
Today is my last day and I'm being left all alone in the office because people have to work on other locations or they're having their holiday already. Hmm. Life is so much fun.
My feet are cold. :( And my hands too. (yeah I'm whining way too much, feels great!)
Lowlands in a few days! (friday!) Hope it won't be cold and wet and muddy. (most likely it will be though.) Oh well it'll be fun. Away from the worries and responsibilities from normal life hehe.

why does it always rain on me
Alright. I'm going to work for this commercial ICT company soon, and I'm going to start there with a traineeship. I hope it'll be fun. Or something like that, as far as working can be fun at least... I'm a bit scared and anxious, but oh well I have to start somewhere... yeah. Anyway. Tomorrow is my last day here at the office in The Hague as a web-editor. And then I'm going to take a way too short break. Finally. I really think I deserve this. And I am so looking forward to it. I don't want to do anything and I am going to enjoy it. Next weekend, I am going to the Lowlands festival. I hope it won't rain as much as today.

kinky
I was trying to work on this dull and rainy friday afternoon, and I listened to Kink FM, as always. Suddenly I heard a game on the radio, where you had to guess which song fragment was played. I heard it was the Pippettes with Pull Shapes, so I thought well, let's give this a try and I mailed my answer to them. A few moments later my cell phone rang, and I it was the DJ of Kink FM: I WON!!! :) I won a Jack Daniels prize packet (guess I have to learn to drink whiskey lol), and some Kink FM goodies. Hehe. Some luck on a friday afternoon. I also came on the radio... and I sounded pretty nervous and stupid but oh well who cares, I'm the winner hahahaha. My co-workers on the third floor sent me e-mails with congratulations and stuff hehe :) I didn't even know they listened to Kink FM. Pretty cool.

all is full of urine
I went shopping with my best friend in Rotterdam last friday. We also had dinner. It was a good day, but it ended pretty bad. I had to switch to another train in Gouda, but I just missed that train. So I was sitting there, waiting for the next train. But I really needed to pee. So yeah, you understand that's pretty shitty, being a girl on a train station without toilets... so I decided to wait. Which was stupid. Because five minutes before my train would arrive, I felt like my blatter was about to explode. I regretted the fact that I didn't actually look for a toilet on the station. But it was too late. I didn't want to miss my next train just because I wanted to take a leak! I decided to go to the toilet in the train. So the train arrived, and I got in. But suddenly I felt like such a fool. The train I got in was totally new. Well, kinda. They're riding this kind of train for half a year on this trail, and I forgot. I forgot that this kind of train DOESN'T HAVE A TOILET. I don't know which idiot thought that this would be a great idea, but I could bitchslap him (I bet it was a man, because men don't have this kind of trouble - they just piss everywhere, anytime they want)! Although I lost all hope in mankind and toilets in general, I decided to knock on the door from the train driver. It was a woman. She felt sorry for me. And when I thought life couldn't get any worse, she told me that we'd leave in about eight minutes. Great. Eight more minutes, just what I needed! I thought I went crazy. Really, I felt like crying this was one of the worst having-to-piss-desperately-moments. Anyway. After a neverending journey of seventeen minutes (eight minutes + the nine minutes of driving..), I arrived at my train station of destiny. But I still had to walk for like twelve minutes before I was home! Seriously, my blatter was driving me insane. So I decided to see if the coast was clear and emptied my blatter between some station-seats. I really didn't care. It felt so good, getting rid of all the urine that's driving you insane. I never felt so relieved. With an empty blatter I went home.
But I'm never going to sit there again.

when i grow up
Let's give the world a little update on how my boring life carries on in the office. Well. I started my day with some music on my iPod. Static-x. Liquid Architecture. Clinic. Nine Inch Nails. Jakalope. Garbage. The Strokes. And then my morning continued.
Ok. I can honestly say that being a civil servant is pretty much boring me. It's not just the people, no - it's the work. I work at the environment and licences department, and well, I feel like my colleagues at the cleaning department: I am cleaning up the digital mess that's made by certain people here in the past few years. Now isn't that heaps of fun. I feel like my life has just lost its meaning. This is the point I really start to wonder why in the name of fuck I went to college and got my bachelor degree in ICT. Seriously. Why? I could've done this work straight out of high school. But oh well, I have to start somewhere, right?
Anyway. A certain commercial ICT company approached me for a traineeship! I am getting my first interview this week. Is this the point where my life gets a chance to get its value back? I hope so. So please, they HAVE to hire me!!!!
Oh well, luckily at least after work I kinda have a fun life. Two more hours until the party starts.
Hmm. I am curious where I'll end up in the next five years.
